Winston

I've also written a little book which was published in 2013.

...Winston spotted her first from his lofty perch above the customers. Until the first moment he saw the old lady, he had never thought of leaving the little gift shop at the top of High Street. Coming through the door, she entered his life, changing it forever...

In writing Winston, three of my loves collided - my love of children, the written word and stories. The experience picked me up and carried me away. Growing and learning with Winston was one of the most stimulating and rewarding things I have ever done. I loved being part of Winston's world as I wrote!
Written for older children, it has come as a complete surprise that many older, even elderly people, have taken Winston to their hearts. It seems he may have taken them for a wander down Memory Lane.

Feedback has been lovely, if not surprising...

I have just fallen in love with Winston... Truly. Madly. Deeply. He makes you feel warm and fuzzy... and sentimental, hopeful and inspired. What a fabulous story!

Reading it has been a special part of my past week, it has brought me much pleasure. A beautiful and touching story.

"Best book ...... should be on every kids bookshelf.
Love you Winston."

"Gently nostalgic and heart-warming in its simplicity..."

"...would make a charming gift."

and from an 87 year old couple...

...the most endearing book I've ever read. We were both in tears.
